BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU (GI)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the fastest-growing and most effective martial arts around. The core principle of BJJ is that a smaller, weaker person can overcome a larger, stronger opponent by using proper technique and leverage. BJJ is primarily a ground fighting art, where practitioners train in a gi (kimono).
Training focuses heavily on positional control, strategy drills, and live rolling, all designed to refine your techniques and improve your submission game. Once in the right position, a variety of submissions can be applied, including arm locks, wrist locks, chokes, and leg locks. Some of the key positions you’ll learn include guard, mount, side control, half guard, and back mount.
This class is open to all levels—no experience necessary! Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, you’ll be welcomed and challenged
KICK BOXING
At ZMMA, our kickboxing class is known not only for its solid technique and strategy but also for the incredible physical benefits it offers. Whether you plan to fight or just get in shape, ZMMA kickboxing provides you with the essential tools for the ring. Get ready to sweat and burn serious calories while improving your fitness. This class is perfect for everyone—from beginners to advanced students—looking to learn proper kickboxing techniques and boost their conditioning.
Classes will include shadowboxing, footwork drills, pad work, heavy bag training, and partner drills to enhance your timing and reflexes. Zichelle Mixed Martial Arts offers beginner-friendly classes to get you started on the right track.
Our fundamental kickboxing class is one of the most popular and ideal for those new to martial arts. Students will focus on both offensive and defensive techniques to build a solid foundation for their next level of training. While you'll be getting the conditioning of a fighter, rest assured—this class is about real kickboxing, not cardio kickboxing. You'll develop practical skills along with all the physical, cardio, and self-defense benefits.
The advanced kickboxing class takes your training further, building on the fundamentals with more complex offensive and defensive strategies and combinations. This class requires additional protective gear and can only be attended after completing the beginner course or with instructor approval.

BOXING
Often referred to as the "sweet science," our boxing program is designed to enhance both your offensive punching techniques and defensive blocking skills through focused drills. You’ll learn how to effectively use the heavy bag, shadow boxing, and focus mitts to refine your skills in a smart and safe way
JIU-JITSU (NO-GI)
No-Gi submission grappling shares many similarities with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, using many of the same positions, submissions, and techniques. This program blends elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, judo, and sambo, with one key difference: no gi or kimono is worn during training. Instead, students will wear a rash guard or t-shirt paired with grappling shorts. This class is open to all skill levels, with no prior experience required. Zichelle MMA/BJJ also offers a comprehensive beginner program for those looking to master the essential fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

If you're looking to take your combat sports training to the next level, this is the program for you. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), a sport popularized by organizations like the UFC and Bellator, features two competitors using a diverse range of techniques to defeat each other—both striking and grappling. Our MMA program combines the essential elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Conditioning. The class is led by experienced professional MMA veterans, who bring a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to every session.
KIDS / TEENAGER PROGRAMS
WOMENS ONLY CLASSES
In this course, women will have the opportunity to advance their self-defense skills as far as they choose. Improve your cardio, stamina, core strength, flexibility, and situational awareness while learning practical self-defense techniques. This program will cover the fundamentals of kickboxing, along with real-world self-defense scenarios in every class. We’ll explore key concepts like striking, grappling, and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu. My main goal is to encourage more women to get on the mats! You'll get the workout you’re looking for while gaining valuable knowledge in a clean, professional, and safe environment.
Our kids' program will offer a diverse mix of boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a No-Gi curriculum with a strong focus on wrestling alongside BJJ. We want to give kids the chance to explore different aspects of mixed martial arts—both the striking and the grappling components—so they can defend themselves in any situation, whether standing or on the ground. Here’s what they can expect to learn:

- Jiu-Jitsu (Gi/No-Gi)
- Wrestling
The reality is that bullies tend to target children who seem like easy victims. A child who walks with confidence, communicates well, and knows how to defend themselves is far less likely to be picked on. By training in Jiu-Jitsu, kids not only gain skills in self-defense but also build the confidence that helps them avoid being targeted.
Beyond that, Jiu-Jitsu offers incredible physical health benefits. Every class challenges kids physically—they'll work hard, get sweaty, and leave feeling exhausted. But most importantly, they’ll experience growth—both mentally and physically. They'll set goals, push themselves to reach new heights, and celebrate milestones like belt promotions and competition achievements.
Jiu-Jitsu also teaches kids the value of teamwork and community. They'll learn how to support one another, win with humility, and handle defeat gracefully. It builds character and resilience, showing them how to face challenges with courage. This confidence extends beyond the mat, helping them stand up for themselves, pursue their goals, and tackle obstacles that might have once seemed too big.
